Starting on January 10th we will start this Bible Study on “The Baptismal River”.  All studies will be held on Wednesday Evenings at Peace Lutheran Church in Grenfell at 7 PM.

There are 8 units.  We start with the Introduction followed by: The Flood, Creation, The Image of God, Circumcision, Israelites in the Wilderness, The Baptism of Jesus, and finally Discipleship.  (There will be a break for Lent during which the sermon series will also focus on Baptism, and then we resume after Easter – March 31 2023.)

For the Wednesdays in November (@ 7 PM @ Peace Grenfell) we will use selected studies / devotions from Joy in Philippians and then we will spend the rest of our time reviewing the Lutheran Confessions.

Dear Jesus, You were born for this purpose, to die to obtain victory over sin. What You did for us is beyond our comprehension. Dear God, please do not remove Your presence from us. We have fallen from You in many ways and so we pray that You would lead us to repentance. Please give us time to repent before our time is up. Lead us to Jesus for the forgiveness of our sins. Keep us within Your kingdom, Your reign, to Your glory, now and always. Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, we believe that You are the resurrection and the life. If we believe in You we will have eternal life. Yet this is not so easily believed. It is easier to disbelieve. When times get tough please help us to overcome our unbelief and hold onto faith in You. Amen.

October 12th, 7 PM @ Peace Grenfell – Lesson 17 – Jesus, Tell us plainly, are You the Christ?!

Holy Spirit please help us to understand Jesus’ words to us.  His words can be hard to understand and difficult to accept at times. Please soften our hard hearts to believe He is the Christ, our Lord and Saviour, our God.  Amen.

Dear Lord Jesus, we pray that You may find us and all Your scattered sheep. Gather us into Your sheepfold and protect us from false teaching. Feed us in good pasture with Your Holy Word and lead us to the good pastures of the eternal life for which You laid down Your life and took it up again.  Amen.

Lord Jesus, You approach us with things too hard for us to understand, and yet You do not ask for understanding, only faith, faith that is given to us as the Father draws us to You. May we abide with You forever no matter how hard Your teachings appear. Amen.

September 14th 7 PM @ Peace Grenfell – Lesson 13 – The Feeding of the Five Thousand

Lord Jesus, may we feel Your compassion so that we may show compassion to others. Teach us compassion from the study of Your Holy Word. May Your Holy Spirit revive our spirits as You shepherd us in the way of life. Amen.
